Biaxial Fiberglass Fabric ±45° (±45° BX) is a multiaxial reinforcement made of two fiberglass layers stitched at +45° and -45° angles. This configuration provides excellent shear strength, impact resistance, and dimensional stability.
It is widely used in Pultrusion, Hand Lay-up, Filament Winding, and RTM processes, and applied in wind energy, marine, automotive, aerospace, and sports industries.

±45° BX Fabric is a multiaxial fiberglass reinforcement consisting of two unidirectional E-glass layers oriented at +45° and -45° relative to the fabric axis, then mechanically stitched using non-crimp polyester or fiberglass yarns. The fabric is free of binder or chemical sizing that would hinder resin flow, allowing excellent drapability and impregnation during composite processing.
This configuration is specifically engineered to optimize in-plane shear resistance and torsional stiffness, which are critical in applications subjected to off-axis or complex loading conditions.
In structural composite design, fiber alignment dictates load transfer direction. While 0° (longitudinal) and 90° (transverse) fibers handle axial and bending loads, ±45° fibers are key to handling shear stresses—particularly in:
▪ Torsional components (e.g., drive shafts, tubes, spars)
▪ Laminates under dynamic loading (e.g., hull panels, car floors)
▪ Bondline areas where peel and shear failure is critical▪
▪ Core skins in sandwich panels, where diagonal force paths dominate
By balancing the +45° and -45° layers, the fabric ensures symmetrical shear load paths, resulting in minimized warping, better fatigue resistance, and overall dimensional stability.
One roll is wrapped in plastic film and then placed into a carton or a large carton.
Normally, P4 (4 big rolls) or P7 (4 big rolls + 3 small rolls) or 6, 9, or 12 small rolls are packed per pallet horizontally/vertically. It can be customized based on the loading method.
Fiberglass products should be stocked in a dry, cool, and waterproof place. The best condition is with a temperature between 15-35℃, with a relative humidity between 30%-65%. Please keep the product in its original packaging before use, avoiding moisture.
