Multiaxial fabrics are comprised of several layers of fiberglass threads in a tightly woven design. Fiberglass is a tough, lightweight material that is commonly used in boat building, insulation, and plastic moldings. A multiaxial fiber may consist of five to seven layers depending upon the final application. These fibers are bonded together using a special resin-coated polyethylene or epoxy sandwich. We use a stapler in pressing the stapled text to the fiberglass frame. The finished product should have uniform thickness and good visual contrast.
